Welcome to the world of Brian Mynott

This is the first of three books and will put you in the mind of the child that I was, it will take you through to my utterly confused early teenage years when my life turned to almost daily violence as I tried to make sense of who I was. I have attempted to show in my writing that there was hope that things would change, and did. However, as a child, I held no hope; in fact I don’t think I even knew the concept of it during those early years of my life. But there was hope and there were people in my childhood, who, though I didn’t realise it at the time, offered it.

Today, I am a fully qualified psychotherapist registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and have a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling. I am a registered mental health practitioner who runs a surgery in Wakefield and have worked in the Welfare to Work Industry for several years.

You can download, “Just once, when I was little” at Amazon, you’ll find the link further down the page and feel free to come back to my page as often as you like. I will be updating you on the  progress of my 2nd and 3rd book as well as discussing any issues you may have as a result of your childhood.

Just once, when I was little

“This book is a must read!! it is very sad and upsetting at times but it is a book that cannot be put down once it is started!!! It is amazing that a person who has been through so much especially from a young age can share his experiences even though they were very tough”. Stephanie Butler. 15th March 2011.
